Membership
The Nova Scotia Colony of Mayflower Descendants is one of two colonies belonging to The Canadian Society of Mayflower Descendants. The Canadian Society is a branch of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, founded at Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1897. You must be a Canadian Society member, which requires documenting your lineage to a Mayflower passenger, before you can become a full member of the Nova Scotia Colony of Mayflower Descendants. You can, however, become an Associate Member of the Nova Scotia Colony while you are trying to gain Canadian membership. This website is the perfect place to start your research, but if you have any questions, any of our executive, or those people who are listed on this website, would be happy to help out. Our members love to share their stories and would be only too pleased to share their expertise and information with anyone who has an interest in the Mayflower passengers and their descendants. The application procedure for becoming a member of the Canadian Society is laid out clearly at the website of The Canadian Society of Mayflower Descendants. If you wish to become a Member of the Nova Scotia Colony of the Mayflower Society, please contact us (see Contact) and let us know – we welcome new members to join in the fun!
